Recent years have seen the concept of fair trade gain momentum among business people in Japan. Business that addresses child labor and poverty in developing countries by seeding profits in the country of production. But compared to other OECD nations, the scope of Japan’s fair trade business is relatively small. Consumer awareness is also relatively low. We will hold a panel discussion to discuss what is necessary for fair trade business in Japan to grow amid obstacles.
