Dr. Fumio TATEISHI is chairman of OMRON Corporation. After graduating from Keio University, Faculty of Business & Commerce in 1972, he joined OMRON Corporation in 1975. In 1987 he became President of OMRON CANADA INC. He became General Manager of Marketing Center, Sales Division, Industrial Business Group in 1993 and General Managers of Overseas Division, Corporate Strategic Center in 1995. Dr. Tateishi was appointed Director of OMRON Corporation in June 1997, President of OMRON Europe B.V in November 1997. He became Executive Vice President of Industrial Automation Company in 2003, and Director and Executive Vice Chairman in 2008. He presently serves as the Chairman of OMRON Corporation since 2013. Dr. Tateishi also serves in many public positions, such as a Director for The Japan Electrical Manufactures’ Association, Executive Trustee for KEIDANREN, Visiting Professor for the Faculty of Engineering at the Osaka Institute of Technology, and a Part-time Lecturer for the Graduate School of Engineering at Tohoku University. Takashi Nawa received his MBA from Harvard Business School (as a Baker Scholar), and Bachelor of Arts in Law and Political Science from the University of Tokyo.
Professor Nawa worked at McKinsey & Company for two decades. Most recently, as a Director of the firm, he serviced the manufacturing sector as Practice Leader for the Asia-Pacific Region, and the telecom, media, and high-tech sectors as Practice Leader of the Japan office. Prior to joining McKinsey, Professor Nawa worked at Mitsubishi Corporation for 11 years, spending four years in New York City. Professor Nawa currently serves Fast Retailing, Denso, Ajinomoto and NEC Capital Solutions as a board director, and is a senior advisor and consultant to a number of global companies. He is also the founder and CEO of Genesys Partners, Inc., Japan, a boutique change agent specializing in fundamental transformation and global growth.
Professor Nawa has published several books. One of his main publications, Familiarity Advantage, introduces a new growth strategy called the “Smart-Lean” model, and a dynamic organization model called the “Möbius” cycle. He also co-authored Evolution of Strategy and High Performing Manufacturers Sell Services with colleagues in McKinsey. One of his earlier publication, New Frontiers at Harvard Business School, is considered a tutorial book for MBA candidates. Professor Nawa has written articles for McKinsey Quarterly, Diamond Harvard Business Review, and Nikkei Business on various topics, including IPR (Industry Process Restructuring), VCRAFT (Value Creation by Applying Financial Technology), and emerging business and alliance models.
Professor Nawa is currently involved in projects on emerging business models and regional collaboration across Asia. He is also organizing the CSV Forum, which brings together representatives of nearly 30 major Japanese companies to develop a next-generation CSV model from Japan for global markets.

He has a broad portfolio of experience that includes board-level engagements, multi-cultural and international teams, private and public sector and the United Nations. He has worked extensively with companies in the FTSE100 and DAX30, supporting them to develop policy, conduct risk assessments, undertake human rights impact assessments, and to identify and implement practical solutions to the impacts identified. He works extensively with procurement and sustainable agriculture teams to engage suppliers and put supply chain responsibility programs in place. Prior to starting twentyfifty Limited in 2004, Luke worked for the UN Staff College, PwC and London Underground. In the late nineties, he was a senior management adviser to the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, Mary Robinson, and helped establish the Business Leaders Initiative on Human Rights. Luke holds a Diploma in Management Studies and an MA in Mathematics from Cambridge University.

Ross Rowbury has been head of Edelman Japan for six years. Prior to joining Edelman he was Senior Managing Director and COO at PRAP Japan, one of Japan's largest domestic PR agencies. Ross' experience in Japan spans over three and a half decades, beginning as a student in the late seventies.
